About this painting

A broad ribbon of gold-toned relief enters at the top left corner and swings through the canvas in a long S, wrapping around a smooth lobe of dusky mauve before trailing off toward the lower centre.

The ribbon is the only heavily built element, creased and crinkled paste with a soft sheen along its folds. On either side, white fields are scored with fine, wind-blown ripple lines, while the open areas of pale blue-grey and plum are blended smooth. The play between crinkled gold, scored white and plain colour gives the abstract its depth.

TA#789 is an original textured painting showing raised gold and white plaster ridges flowing over a grey-mauve field, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The greys and mauves are cool and muted, so it rests easily against warm white plaster, pale grey oak, smoked glass and brushed brass fittings. Warm downlighting makes the ribbon glow; under cool daylight it looks paler, nearer champagne. In a hotel, the wall facing the lifts is a good spot, since guests meet it head on as the doors open. In a suite, set it over a low bench or console rather than a busy upholstered headboard.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, spa & wellness and bedroom; it reads as calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#789 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#789 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the gold ribbon in TA#789 represent?

Nothing literal. It can be read as a river seen from the air, a silk scarf caught in wind or a seam of ore running through rock, and the painting leaves that open. What matters on the wall is the movement: one continuous curve from the corner to the centre.

How do the mauve and grey of TA#789 behave next to warm wood?

They cool it down. Walnut and teak bring out the plum in the lower left, while pale ash or oak keeps the effect light and silvery. In a room with a lot of warm timber, the gold ribbon becomes the bridge between the wood and the painting's cooler ground.

Is TA#789 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#789 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#789 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
