About this painting

A white horse rears out of a dark chocolate ground, head turned to the left, forelegs lifted high and mane flying back toward the right. The canvas edge cuts the body off, so only the head, neck, chest and raised legs are shown, and the animal seems to be bursting into the picture.

The horse is modelled in thick plaster paste, white on the high points and grey in the hollows, with a scraped, flaky texture that follows the muscles of the neck and shoulder. The brown ground is troweled too, but lower and darker, so the figure stands out in real relief.

TA#659 is an original textured animal painting showing rearing horse in white sculpted plaster on a dark brown ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Because the horse faces left, hang it toward the right end of a reception wall, so its gaze turns inward to the space and away from the exit. The brown ground carries well against concrete, travertine, cream plaster and smoked oak, and a pale wall gives the strongest silhouette. Use a steep, raking light from one side so the plaster casts shadows; flat frontal light flattens the modelling. In a showroom it holds its own beside leather and stone.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, living room and home office; it reads as dramatic and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#659 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#659 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the rearing horse in TA#659 usually represent?

A rearing horse is often read as strength, freedom and drive, and in many business settings as a wish for success. Here the lifted forelegs and flying mane carry that energy, while the muted white-on-brown palette keeps it calm enough for a lobby or private office.

Where is the plaster built up highest on TA#659?

On the neck, shoulder and chest, where the paste is thickest and most broken. The head and the raised legs are flatter and smoother, and the mane thins into fine flicks. In side light the scraped edges on the shoulder throw small shadows; head-on the horse reads more like a pale silhouette.

Is TA#659 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#659 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#659 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
