About this painting

A pale deer rears up on the crest of a teal hill, its antlers branching out so wide they look like a small winter tree against a rust-orange sky. Behind it, cream slopes rise left and right, every ridge traced in raised gold contour lines that sweep across the canvas in close parallel bands.

The sky takes the upper third and is left grainy and unbroken, which isolates the white figure. The heaviest relief sits in the foreground slope, where deep teal shows between the gold lines like water held between terraces.

TA#459 is an original textured animal painting showing white stag on gold contour-line mountains in teal against a rust orange sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Charcoal, smoked oak or bronze-toned panelling suits it best: the rust sky glows against dark surfaces and the cream hills hold their edge. In a restaurant or bar, place it where diners face it from their seats, such as the back wall behind the counter, so the small deer is seen without craning. A single spot aimed at the upper third lifts the sky and leaves the hills in softer light.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, restaurant & bar and living room; it reads as dramatic and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#459 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#459 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the deer in TA#459 a symbol of anything?

Deer carry a common reading in Chinese folk art: prosperity and long life, because the name sounds like the word for an official's good fortune. The oversized, tree-like antlers here make it feel more like a figure from a fable than a wildlife study.

What furnishings pick up the rust sky of TA#459 in a living room?

Cognac leather, walnut and aged brass carry the rust tone, while a teal velvet or bottle-green cushion answers the foreground hill. Keep upholstery plain: the canvas already has dense line work, and patterned fabric close by competes with the gold contours.

Is TA#459 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#459 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#459 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
