About this painting

A river of raised gold lines winds down the canvas from the top right corner, its channels filled with deep teal, while small slender fish swim along its right-hand edge.

The gold strands run in loose parallel lines that pinch where the river narrows in the middle and spread wide at the bottom, so the water seems to speed up and then fan out. Around it the orange ground is a rough, sandy plaster that takes light differently from the smooth lines. About ten fish break the flow, most in gold and a couple in bright teal.

TA#440 is an original textured animal painting showing teal river of gold lines with small fish on an orange plaster ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Gold and teal on orange suits brushed brass, smoked glass, charcoal stone and walnut panelling, so it fits a hotel reception, a jewellery or tea shop, or a restaurant entrance. The river is widest and busiest at the bottom, so keep the lower edge clear of chair backs, sofas or a reception counter that would hide it. A warm spot aimed from above makes the gold strands glint against the darker teal.

Specified for lobby & reception, entryway & hallway, gallery & retail and restaurant & bar; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#440 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#440 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do the fish in TA#440 stand for?

Fish swimming together are often read as a wish for abundance and good fortune, which is why the subject is popular for entrances and reception areas. The fish here are slender and stylised rather than koi, and they swim in a loose line along the river's edge.

How do the gold lines of TA#440 react to different lighting?

The raised lines catch light along their crests, so a warm spotlight or a lit niche makes them glint and pushes the teal back into shadow. Under flat, diffuse light the gold reads more like pale ochre, and the contrast of teal against orange takes over.

Is TA#440 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#440 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#440 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
