About this painting

Two paddlers in a small yellow boat ride the foam in the bottom right corner, dwarfed by bands of colour that heave up the canvas like swell or a mountain range. Teal, emerald, navy, orange, rust, yellow and grey ribbons stack and fold over one another to a crest near the top, where a strip of pale blue sky is brushed in loose vertical strokes.

The paint is thick throughout, combed into fine parallel grooves that follow every curve, so each band has the layered grain of agate. White water breaks along the lower edge, the one place the movement spills over.

CA#413 is an original colorful seascape painting showing kayakers on multicoloured swirling waves, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Good company for an outdoor-gear shop, a climbing or paddling club, or the office of an adventure travel firm, where the tiny boat tells the story at once. In a corridor the bands seem to move as people walk past, so hang it along a route rather than at a dead end. Keep the bottom fifth clear of desks and sofa backs, since that is where the paddlers sit. Pale timber and white panelling give the colour room.

Specified for gallery & retail, workspace & office, corridor & circulation and living room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#413 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#413 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Are the bands in CA#413 waves or mountains?

Both readings hold. The foam and the boat at the bottom say water, but higher up the bands stack into ridges against a strip of sky, and it is easy to see a range of hills. That double reading keeps the canvas interesting long after the first look.

How thick is the paint on CA#413?

Heavy. Each band is laid in a thick stroke combed into parallel ridges, deepest at the green and orange crests in the upper half. The sky is thinner, and the boat is modelled in smooth, rounded paint, which makes it look small and solid against the moving bands.

Is CA#413 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#413 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#413 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
