About this painting

A black dressage horse lifts one foreleg high and bent against a flat field of orange, its rider sitting straight in top hat, tailcoat and white breeches.

Horse and rider fill the right two thirds and run off the right edge at the hindquarters, leaving a wide plain band of orange on the left for the raised leg to reach into. The horse is modelled in smooth gradations of black and steel blue, with a row of braided knots along the crest and a white saddle cloth piped in gold. There is no horizon, shadow or ground line, so the pair seem suspended mid-step.

CA#082 is an original colorful animal painting showing black dressage horse and rider on a flat orange ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The horse walks to the left, so it sits best on a right-hand wall or flanking the right-hand end of a reception desk, stepping toward people as they arrive. Saturated orange glows hardest against charcoal paint, smoked oak or black-stained panelling, and the gold piping on the saddle cloth repeats any brass nearby. A recessed niche at the head of a boardroom suits it well. Light it evenly across the whole surface; a hotspot makes the orange look patchy.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, lobby & reception, home office and dining room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#082 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#082 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What movement is the horse performing in CA#082?

A high, collected dressage step: one foreleg lifted and folded at the knee, the kind of slow, cadenced stride seen in passage. It is a display of control rather than speed, which is why the rider sits upright and still with a light hand on the reins.

Does the orange ground of CA#082 work alongside other strong colours?

Sparingly. The orange is flat and saturated, so it does best as the only bright colour on that side of the room, set against neutrals, black and metal. Navy or deep teal opposite it can work, as both sit across the colour wheel; a second warm hue such as red tends to fight it.

Is CA#082 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#082 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#082 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
