About this painting

Pale, faceless figures sway through a blaze of orange and yellow, tied together by long black lines that loop around their heads and bodies. Each figure is just a small oval head on a long curving body in white or smoky grey; two heads near the top are backed by red discs, like spotlights or haloes. The ground is brushed in streaks of orange, saffron, pink and crimson that read like firelight, darkening to plum at the bottom corners.

The black lines do most of the work. They run unbroken across the canvas, linking dancers, background and edges into one continuous movement.

AA#802 is an original abstract figurative painting showing flowing stylised black and grey dancer figures over orange and yellow ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Dancing figures in firelight colours suit rooms used in the evening and with music: the back-bar wall, a club lounge, the foyer of a dance studio or performance venue. Charcoal, black lacquer and grey marble set off the orange best, and the white figures need light on them, so give them a warm downlight; unlit, they sink into the grey and black. At the larger square sizes it holds a lobby wall alone; keep other art off that wall.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and gallery & retail; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#802 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#802 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Do the figures in AA#802 represent anyone?

Nobody specific. They are dancers reduced to a few curves: an oval head, a long swaying body and a looping line for arms or hair. With no faces, clothes or setting, they read as movement and music rather than portraits, which suits public rooms.

What are the red discs at the top of AA#802?

Two red ovals sit behind the heads of the central and right-hand figures. They act like spotlights or haloes, singling those two dancers out from the group, and they repeat the crimson streaks lower down so red is spread across the canvas instead of pooling in one place.

Is AA#802 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#802 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#802 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
