About this painting

A near-black square of indigo and charcoal hides a handful of faint forms that only surface as your eyes adjust. Scratched oval outlines hover near the top edge, a pale crescent sits alone in the top right corner, and low on the left a pink-violet ring glows like a dying ember and drips below.

Mossy green and ochre flecks gather along the left side, and a pale grey bar near the bottom lets a row of thin drips fall toward the edge. The right half is quieter, deep blue-black with only a faint circle at mid-height, which gives the small marks elsewhere room to register.

AA#074 is an original abstract painting showing near-black nocturnal abstraction with faint pale ovals and drips, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Dark rooms suit it better than bright ones. In a cocktail bar or a supper-club dining room painted aubergine, ink blue or charcoal, it reads as a deepening of the wall rather than a hole in it, and in a bedroom it faces the bed without keeping anyone awake. On stark white it can look like a plain black square, so give it a mid-tone or dark wall, and keep it off the wall facing a window, where glare flattens the faint marks.

Specified for restaurant & bar, meeting & boardroom, bedroom and living room; it reads as moody and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#074 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#074 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why does AA#074 look almost black in photographs?

Most of its detail sits in a narrow band of very dark tones, which a camera averages into black. In person the indigo, violet and green undertones separate, and the scratched ovals and pink crescent become clear, especially from within a couple of metres.

What pairs well with AA#074 in the same room?

Something lighter in tone but equally quiet. A sparse bone or stone-grey abstract on a facing wall balances its weight, and aged bronze, smoked glass or dark-stained timber nearby pick up the rust and ochre embers. Two near-black canvases side by side tend to merge into one shadow.

Is AA#074 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#074 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#074 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
