Tangerine lilies on deep teal textured canvas art

Four tangerine lilies flare open against a dark teal ground, their petals licked with scarlet at the throat and cream at the tips, fine orange stamens flicking out from the top bloom. Their stems rise from a clump of broad green leaves at the bottom centre and branch, so the flowers climb the canvas in a zigzag.

The background is all short, choppy strokes of turquoise, petrol blue and navy, lightest behind the upper blooms and nearly black at the edges. The petals are heavier, dragged in long curling strokes that keep a ridge along each curve.
