About this painting

A slab of terracotta-orange plaster fills the lower half of the canvas, crazed all over with raised cracks like a dried riverbed, and above it a band of black and white speckle climbs toward a pale grey sky.

The speckled band has a jagged top edge that can be read as a snowy ridgeline or as breaking surf. Where orange meets speckle, a small white plaque sits proud of the surface, cracked in the same pattern as the clay below, as if a piece of ground had been lifted out and bleached. Between the cracks the orange is smooth and matte, so the relief lines do all the work.

TA#297 is an original textured geometric painting showing orange cracked-plaster field below a black-and-white speckled band with a white relief block, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The orange carries across a large room, so place it where it is seen end-on: the far wall of a restaurant, the back of a bar, or the wall facing a shop entrance. It holds its own against dark slatted timber, polished concrete and bottle-green velvet, and a rough clay vessel on a bench beneath it repeats the cracked surface. A downlight from directly above sharpens every crack line across the orange field.

Specified for gallery & retail, restaurant & bar, lobby & reception and living room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#297 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#297 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the white block on TA#297 represent?

It is not a fixed symbol. It repeats the crack pattern of the orange field in white and sits across the join between earth and sky, so it reads as a fragment of ground lifted out of place. It also stops the gaze at the centre and ties the two halves together.

Could the cracked orange field of TA#297 be painted in another earth tone?

Yes. The crazed field can be made in clay red, ochre or sand instead of terracotta-orange, while the black and white speckle and the white plaque stay as they are. Clay red keeps the heat; sand turns the canvas toward a quieter desert-stone feel.

Is TA#297 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#297 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#297 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
