About this painting

A cliff of tiny mosaic tiles climbs the left half of the canvas, each chip outlined in black and filled with cream, white, mustard or orange, the whole mass folding and splitting like weathered rock. At the top right, a row of copper-coloured bars hangs down in uneven lengths, their ragged ends stopping above a taupe field stamped with small leaf-shaped scales.

The tiles stand proud of the ground, so the cliff reads as carved rather than drawn. A plain grey haze fills the upper left corner, and that quiet patch keeps the busy tile work from crowding the frame.

TA#456 is an original textured geometric painting showing cliff-like mosaic tile forms with vertical bars in cream, gold and orange, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

In a boutique, showroom or hotel lift lobby, set it near brushed bronze, rose-gold fittings or blush stone so the copper bars have something to answer. The orange chips are small and only register up close; from across a lobby the work reads as cream, taupe and grey, which sits easily on greige plaster or travertine. A downlight close to the wall deepens the shadow under every tile edge.

Specified for corridor & circulation, lobby & reception, gallery & retail and entryway & hallway; it reads as bold and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#456 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#456 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the rock face in TA#456 meant to be a real place?

No. The left-hand mass is an invented cliff broken into mosaic, and some viewers read the hanging copper bars as a waterfall or rain falling past it. The shapes stay loose enough to suggest rock, coral or folded fabric, so the work suits a scheme without tying it to one landscape.

How does the tile relief on TA#456 look when light comes from one side?

Each chip sits slightly above its neighbour while the black outlines between them sink back, so side light draws a fine net of shadow across the whole cliff. The orange and mustard chips warm up under a low-Kelvin lamp, and cool daylight pushes the piece towards grey and cream.

Is TA#456 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#456 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#456 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
