About this painting

A city skyline dissolves into rain-like streaks: cream, ochre and gold towers rise in tall knife strokes against a pale blue-white sky, and not one building is drawn in full.

Closer up, details surface: a spire near the centre, a rust-red block at the far right and slivers of teal and slate on the shaded sides of the towers. Below the waterline the paint turns warmer and darker, a churn of brown, cream and red-brown with small dabs of blue and scarlet that suggest people or lights at the water's edge. The heaviest paint sits along that band, laid on in short sideways ridges.

IA#1046 is an original impressionist cityscape painting showing loosely painted skyline of skyscrapers in beige, gold and teal with reflections, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Beige and gold sit naturally against cream wall panelling, brass trim and camel or tobacco leather, and the canvas still holds its own on a terracotta or burnt-orange wall. With no recognisable landmark it travels well, so a hotel group can hang the same canvas in properties in several cities. Behind banquette seating in a bar, hang it low enough that the busy reflection band sits close to seated eye level.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as cozy & warm and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1046 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1046 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which city skyline is painted in IA#1046?

No particular one. The towers are invented shapes built from vertical strokes rather than copied from a real skyline, so it stands for any city as evening comes on. Offices and restaurants anywhere can hang it without a local landmark clashing with their own surroundings.

Why do the towers in IA#1046 look as if they are melting?

The knife was pulled straight down through wet paint, so each tower ends in streaks instead of a clean edge, and the sky between them is dragged the same way. It gives the effect of a skyline seen through rain or heat haze, which is also why it hangs comfortably beside abstract work.

Is IA#1046 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1046 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1046 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
