About this painting

A pale spired tower, read as the Empire State Building, rises through a canyon of blue and teal blocks, its grid of windows scratched into silver-white paint. Everything is laid on with the palette knife: neighbouring buildings are thick slabs of navy, cobalt and turquoise, with a single green dome on the right, and a shaft of misty grey light falls between them from the top edge.

About two-thirds down, a dark line marks the water. Below it the colours are dragged straight down into reflections, with ochre, cream and gold standing in for the tower.

IA#1143 is an original impressionist cityscape painting showing blue palette-knife skyline with the Empire State Building and its reflection, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its one-to-two proportions let it fill walls most art cannot: the strip between two lift doors, a pier between tall windows, or the end of a hallway seen head-on. In an office reception it can stand alone beside the desk, and at the largest size it fills most of a storey. Blue velvet, polished concrete, brass trim and veined marble suit it. Light it with a narrow beam from above so the knife ridges in the blue blocks show.

Specified for lobby & reception, corridor & circulation, workspace & office and entryway & hallway; it reads as bold and dramatic.

Colour palette

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1143 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1143 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the tall building in IA#1143 the Empire State Building?

It is painted to suggest it: a slim stepped tower with a needle spire, standing pale against blue neighbours. The handling is loose rather than architectural, so the building is recognisable in outline without exact detail, and the surrounding blocks are invented rather than a map of Midtown.

What does the gold in the lower third of IA#1143 do?

It warms the bottom of an otherwise cool canvas. The ochre and cream streaks are the tower's reflection pulled down through the water, and they give a natural link to brass fittings, honey-toned timber or camel upholstery placed below the painting.

Is IA#1143 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1143 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1143 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
