About this painting

A row of moored fishing boats, red, white and pink-bowed, sits nose to tail across the middle of a harbour that dissolves into blocks of pure colour.

Thin dark masts rise into a sky that shifts from lemon yellow at the left through hot pink in the centre to cobalt blue on the right. Behind the hulls, squares of red, orange, teal and violet suggest quayside buildings without drawing them. The lower third is all reflection: the same colours dragged down in broken vertical knife strokes, so the water seems to shimmer.

IA#805 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing moored fishing boats with masts reflected in a colourful harbour, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Wide and loud in colour, it earns its place in a fish restaurant or a bar on the water, hung along the banquette wall where its row of hulls repeats the line of tables. Keep the wall behind it plain white or pale grey; patterned tiles or wallpaper fight the reflections. In a shop or gallery, use it on the wall facing the entrance, where its colour carries through the window to the street.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, gallery & retail and living room; it reads as vibrant and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#805 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#805 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What makes the water in IA#805 look reflective?

The colours of the boats and buildings are repeated beneath them in vertical knife strokes, broken by thin horizontal gaps of pale blue and white. Those gaps read as ripples, so the reflections look as if they are moving rather than sitting still like a mirror.

Which colour leads in IA#805, pink or blue?

Pink, by area. It runs through the centre of the sky and much of the water, with lemon yellow behind the left-hand boats and blue taking over the right third. Where one side of a room is already strongly blue, put the blue end of the canvas on that side.

Is IA#805 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#805 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#805 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
