About this painting

A waterfront at dusk dissolves into paint: a broken line of orange, rust and black blocks crosses the middle of a wide canvas, and below it vertical drips of crimson, violet and white fall like lights reflected in a harbour. The sky above is split in three, dusty rose on the left, a tall column of white in the centre and slate blue with scratched streaks on the right.

Thick white dabs stand up along the skyline like lit rooftops, and thin white lines are thrown across the lower half. Texture is heaviest in that central band; the corners are dragged smooth, leaving the busy middle room to breathe.

AA#701 is an original abstract cityscape painting showing abstract skyline-like band of red, orange, purple and white strokes with drips, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With its activity packed into a band at mid-height, the canvas lines up with a long dining table or a cocktail bar's back wall, where seated guests meet the skyline at eye level. The three-part sky helps it bridge mixed finishes: rose-toned plaster or blush leather at one end of a room, steel-blue upholstery or slate at the other. Over a sideboard, hang it about 20 cm above the top so the drips seem to run toward the furniture.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as dramatic and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#701 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#701 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is there a real city in AA#701?

No particular city is painted. The orange and black blocks along the middle read as buildings on a shoreline and the vertical drips below them as their reflections, but the forms stay loose, so people see a harbour at dusk without any one skyline being named.

How does AA#701 look in a dimly lit restaurant?

In low light the white column and the white dabs along the skyline stay bright while the rose and slate areas fall back, so the painting reads mainly as a glowing horizontal band. A wall washer aimed at the lower half keeps the coloured drips visible as well.

Is AA#701 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#701 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#701 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
