About this painting

A city of thin spires and stacked towers rises across the middle of a wide canvas, lit from behind by a pale sky that glows almost white at the centre. Fans of short knife strokes in mustard, charcoal and dove grey sweep in from both upper corners like wind-blown leaves, closing around the light.

Below the skyline the towers break into their own reflection: blocks of white, ochre, slate and navy set side by side as if on wet stone. Every mark is a single raised press of the knife, and the yellow is a muted mustard, not lemon, which keeps the city at dusk rather than noon.

AA#660 is an original abstract cityscape painting showing abstracted city skyline in yellow, grey, white and black knife strokes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its wide 2:1 shape is made for long runs of wall: behind a boardroom table where the skyline lines up with seated eye level, along a bar banquette, or behind a reception counter. Charcoal, slate and mustard sit easily with black leather, smoked glass and dark metal. Angle ceiling track spots slightly downward across the surface, so each raised press of paint casts its own sliver of shadow.

Specified for lobby & reception, meeting & boardroom, restaurant & bar and living room; it reads as dramatic and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#660 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#660 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is AA#660 a particular city?

None can be identified. The spires and blocky towers are generic, so the canvas reads as a city at dusk rather than a portrait of one skyline, which lets it work in a hotel or office wherever it is.

What happens to AA#660 when you stand close to it?

The city disappears. Each stroke is a short, raised slab of paint, often petal-shaped, laid in fans radiating from the corners, so at arm's length you see only ridges and colour. From four or five metres the towers and their reflections reassemble.

Is AA#660 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#660 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#660 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
