About this painting

Spires of purple lupin rise out of a dense bank of wildflowers, standing dark against a sunset sky that burns yellow in the middle and turns coral pink at both ends.

The sky is built in broad horizontal knife sweeps, with pale blue left in the top corners. Across the middle, round flower heads in cornflower blue, violet, scarlet and orange sit as separate thick dabs, each with a darker eye, and a few magenta spikes repeat the upright rhythm of the lupins. The bottom strip sinks into deep green and navy, which gives the bright band above it a floor to stand on.

CA#043 is an original colorful floral painting showing purple lupins and red, blue and orange wildflowers against a yellow sunset sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Brightest at the top and darkest along the bottom edge, the canvas has a natural up and down, so it looks settled above something low and solid: a long upholstered banquette, a dining sideboard, a reception desk with a dark front. Walnut, cognac leather and oatmeal linen draw out the orange, while a grey scheme picks up the blue blooms instead. Wall sconces on either side, as in a hotel bedroom, rake light across the knife-swept sky.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, dining room and living room; it reads as uplifting and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#043 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#043 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the tall spikes rising out of the meadow in CA#043?

Most are lupins, the purple and violet spires with stacked flower heads, and a few are painted a deeper magenta. They give the meadow its height: without them the round poppy-like blooms would sit in one flat band across the canvas.

Is the sun itself shown in CA#043?

No disc is painted. The sun is implied by the palest patch of yellow in the middle of the sky, behind the lupins, with knife sweeps fanning out from it into orange and coral, so the light feels as if it has only just dropped below the flowers.

Is CA#043 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#043 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#043 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
