Studio photograph of the actual canvas. Yours is repainted to your dimensions, so brushwork will differ slightly — that is what an original is.

About this painting

Patches of sunny mustard yellow break through a white, weathered surface, interrupted across the middle by a smoky band of grey with a violet cast that drifts from left to right.

The upper right is the darkest corner, where violet-grey strokes are scraped thin over white, and the lower half returns to yellow, broken into islands by dry, scumbled white. A fine hairline runs vertically through the centre and tiny ochre flecks speckle the bottom right. The paint is knife-worked and scraped back, so the canvas reads like an old painted wall.

AA#664 is an original abstract painting showing yellow and grey textured patches on white plaster, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its yellow is warm without being loud, which makes it a good choice above the headboard in a guest suite, where a stronger colour would be tiring to wake up to. The violet-grey band picks up grey linen, pewter lamps and pale ash floors. In a corridor its vertical format fills the narrow wall between two doors. Warm lamps deepen the yellow towards gold; cooler light keeps it closer to lemon.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, living room and bedroom; it reads as cozy & warm and uplifting.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#664 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#664 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the grey in AA#664 a true neutral grey?

Not quite. It leans towards violet and lavender, especially in the darker strokes at the upper right. That cast is what makes the yellow look so warm beside it, because violet and yellow are opposites. In a scheme it pairs with mauve, lilac and cool greys as readily as with plain ones.

What makes the surface of AA#664 look weathered?

The paint is layered and then partly scraped away, so white breaks through the yellow in ragged patches and the grey drags into fine streaks. A faint vertical hairline and small fissures add to the look of an old plastered wall where colour has worn off over time.

Is AA#664 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#664 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#664 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
