About this painting

A stick figure drawn in black line on a yellow panel faces a large cream oval head across a grey studio, with a red table tipped up between them. The left figure's grey head is cut by a white wedge carrying three eyes; the right head is split by a zigzag profile, one eye above the line and one below, and rests on a pale triangular plinth.

Between them stand a grey and green hourglass form and a small yellow-framed picture on the back wall. Colour goes on in flat blocks without shading, and the black contours are drawn freehand, so the geometry stays loose rather than ruled.

AA#065 is an original abstract figurative painting showing cubist studio interior with two geometric figures, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its subject, a figure at work in a studio, gives it a natural home in the reception of an architecture or design practice, on the first wall a visitor sees. In a dining room the red table and yellow panel pick up terracotta, mustard upholstery or honey oak; keep the wall pale grey or off-white so the yellow stays the brightest block in the room. The colour is matte and even, so a broad wash of light suits it better than a tight spotlight.

Specified for lobby & reception, workspace & office, dining room and living room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#065 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#065 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Who are the two figures in AA#065?

They are usually read as a painter and a sculpted bust. The stick figure on the left stretches a thin line toward the middle like a brush, and the cream head on the right sits on a plinth. The red table and the small framed picture on the back wall set the scene as a studio.

Which side of AA#065 feels heavier on the wall?

The left. The yellow panel is the largest and brightest single block, so the picture leans that way. On a wall with a window to its left, hang it a little right of centre, or place a darker chair or cabinet under the grey right half to even it out.

Is AA#065 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#065 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#065 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
