About this painting

Acid yellow floods up from the bottom of the canvas and breaks into hundreds of small cells where it meets a band of near-black, with deep violet pooled along the top edge.

The front between yellow and black runs on a slant from lower left to upper right, and along it the paint has bubbled into rings and scattered droplets. At the lower right the yellow stops in a row of finger-like drips, leaving bare white canvas showing, while a pale silver-white swirl curls in at the top left corner. The surface is smooth and glossy: all the movement is in the colour, none in raised paint.

AA#011 is an original abstract painting showing poured yellow, purple and black cells with bubbling drips, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Wide and loud, it wants a long stretch of wall with nothing else competing: the wall guests face as they walk into a bar, the end wall of a gallery or shop, or above a long banquette in a dining room. Raw concrete, dark plaster and smoked-grey paint make the yellow look brighter still. Against white, the black band carries the weight and the bare corner seems to spill out into the room.

Specified for restaurant & bar, gallery & retail, dining room and living room; it reads as dramatic and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#011 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#011 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Will the cells and drips in AA#011 match the photograph exactly?

Not cell for cell. The layout is followed closely: yellow below, a black band across the middle, violet at the top, the white corner and the silver swirl. But poured paint forms its own bubbles and drips as it settles, so the fine pattern on your canvas will be its own.

How does the glossy surface of AA#011 behave under bar and restaurant lighting?

A single downlight aimed straight at it can leave a bright reflection on the black band. Two lights set off to the sides, or a wall washer above, keep the dark areas readable and let the yellow look lit from within, which is how it reads best in a dim room.

Is AA#011 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#011 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#011 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
