About this painting

A slab of burnt orange hangs across the upper part of the canvas, its lower edge scalloped like a curtain hem where each knife pull stopped. Underneath, thick white paint spreads in a wide shelf, and below that the picture turns to stone colours: dove grey on the left, a pale grey stripe, and a charcoal column dropping straight down the middle.

Tiny flicks of lime yellow and orange sit in the dark band where the colours meet, the only small detail in a composition of big blocks. Fine hairline scratches cross the white.

AA#1044 is an original abstract painting showing orange, white, grey and black knife fields, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The 1:2 proportion suits the narrow walls most art cannot fill: a pier between two doorways, the far end of a long approach, or the wall beside a lift lobby. Hang it with the orange slightly above eye level so the charcoal column runs down toward the floor and the piece reads as an upright. Grey marble, travertine and smoked glass all sit comfortably beside its stone-coloured lower half.

Specified for corridor & circulation, lobby & reception, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as bold and moody.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#1044 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#1044 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is the lower edge of the orange in AA#1044 wavy?

The orange was laid on in thick downward knife pulls, and each pull ended in a rounded lip of paint. Those lips form the scalloped hem you see, and they stand proud of the white below, so a light from above throws a thin shadow under each one.

Which accent colours pick up from AA#1044 in a lobby scheme?

Burnt orange is the obvious one: a cognac leather bench, terracotta planters or copper fittings will echo the top block. For a quieter link, repeat the charcoal of the central column in door frames or a steel console and leave the orange as the only warm note.

Is AA#1044 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#1044 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#1044 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
