About this painting

Orange and white peonies tumble down a tall cream canvas, the biggest orange bloom opening at the left edge with a dark, seed-dotted heart and petals shading from tangerine to butter yellow.

A large white peony sits above it to the right, and smaller blooms and buds alternate colour all the way down, so the gaze zigzags from top to bottom. Teal and deep blue-green leaves, with dark star-shaped sepals, give the only cool notes. The petals are built in thick, satiny ridges with curled rims, and behind them the cream ground is scraped in vertical streaks and flakes, with ochre showing through.

TA#821 is an original textured floral painting showing thick knife-sculpted orange and white peonies with teal leaves on a pale textured ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Warm orange is often linked with appetite, which is why it earns a place in a dining room or brasserie: beside the host stand, or on the short wall that closes a run of banquette seating. Walnut, cane and terracotta tiles pick up the petals, while dark green or navy upholstery answers the teal leaves. Its tall shape also fits a column face or a slim wall between two tall windows, with bare wall left to frame it on both sides.

Specified for restaurant & bar, gallery & retail, dining room and living room; it reads as uplifting and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#821 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#821 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why does TA#821 use teal leaves instead of ordinary green?

Teal sits close to the opposite of orange on the colour wheel, so the leaves make the petals look brighter and warmer than plain green would. They also give the painting a link to cool fabrics in the room, such as peacock velvet or blue-green tiles.

Does TA#821 look the same across a restaurant as it does up close?

No, and that is part of its appeal. Across a room the orange and white blooms register as a loose column of warm colour on cream. Within a few steps the ridged petal edges, flaked ground and dark stamen dots appear, so diners near it see far more than those at the door.

Is TA#821 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#821 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#821 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
