About this painting

Down the middle of a deep blue night sky, the Milky Way spills toward a white glow just above a gap between red rock buttes. Stars are flicked on in dots of every size, and white streaks curl through the top left corner.

Sky fills three quarters of the height. Below it, a row of spires and one large wedge-shaped butte at the right are lit red-orange on their faces and fall to near black in shadow. The paint is heaviest on that rock, laid in flat slabs, while the sky is worked in curving strokes, so cold blue and hot red meet at a sharp line.

IA#1192 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing swirling Milky Way night sky over red rock formations, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The tall, narrow shape fits a pier between two shopfront windows, the wall beside a lift core or a column face in a lobby, where anything wider would crowd the space. Because most of the surface is dark, it looks like a hole on a bright white wall; charcoal, inky blue or raw plaster suit it better. A spotlight angled down from above catches the ridges on the rock faces, and rust leather or terracotta nearby repeats their warmth.

Specified for gallery & retail, lobby & reception, restaurant & bar and home office; it reads as dramatic and moody.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1192 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1192 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Where does the brightest light in IA#1192 sit, and does it affect hanging height?

The white core of the galaxy sits about a third of the way up, just above the rocks, not at the centre. Hang the canvas slightly higher than usual so that glow lands near standing eye level and the starry sky rises above the viewer.

Which parts of IA#1192 catch a raking light?

The rock faces, first: the red is laid in thick, flat slabs whose edges throw small shadows. In the sky the curling strokes at the top left show as fine ridges, while the blue around the galaxy is smoother, so the glow stays clean.

Is IA#1192 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1192 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1192 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
