About this painting

A single snow-covered peak climbs almost to the top edge of the canvas, its black rock breaking through white snow in long strokes dragged downward like avalanche tracks. Behind it the sky is one flat, pale blue without a cloud, which keeps the summit's silhouette knife-sharp, while a lower shoulder of mountain sits at the left, half lost in mist.

The paint is pulled with a knife from the ridge lines down the slopes, so white catches on the raised edges and the dark rock settles into the furrows. Towards the bottom the strokes grow heavier and darker, giving the mountain a solid base.

IA#161 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing snow-capped mountain peak in bold knife strokes against a blue sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The tall shape and hard summit outline suit a wall seen end-on: the far end of an office corridor, or the wall facing a boardroom door, where anyone walking in meets the peak head-on. Charcoal or slate-painted walls make the pale blue sky glow; on white walls the black rock carries the picture instead. Light it from above so the knife ridges on the snow throw short shadows down the slope.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, workspace & office, home office and corridor & circulation; it reads as dramatic and moody.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#161 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#161 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the plain blue sky do for the mountain in IA#161?

It leaves the mountain to do all the talking. A smooth, unbroken blue gives the worked snow and rock nothing to compete with and makes the summit's edge crisp from across a room. The contrast between the flat sky and the dragged slopes is what changes most as you walk closer.

Is IA#161 a realistic mountain or closer to an abstract?

Somewhere between the two. From a few metres it is plainly one peak with a lesser shoulder beside it, but up close the slopes dissolve into separate black and white strokes with no detailed rock or trees, so it sits comfortably beside abstract work in an office scheme.

Is IA#161 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#161 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#161 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
