About this painting

Ink-dark storm cloud fills the upper half of the canvas, while below it a marsh still lies in bright green light, the two meeting at a thin strip of pale cyan along the horizon.

The cloud is brushed in heavy navy and slate with a few torn openings of white. The lower half is painted wet: lime and moss green dragged sideways, pools of pale sky caught in the water, and thin dark runs of paint left to drip downward so they read as reeds. A row of tiny trees sits on the skyline, the only small detail in a broad, open scene.

IA#781 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing dark storm clouds over a green marsh with dripped grass strokes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The hard split between a dark top and a bright bottom gives this vertical a strong horizon line at roughly the middle. In a study or a gallery bay where people look while seated, hang it so that line sits near seated eye level. It holds its own against charcoal or slate-blue walls, black steel shelving and grey felt, and wants even light over its full height so the navy cloud keeps its tonal range instead of going flat black.

Specified for gallery & retail, workspace & office, corridor & circulation and home office; it reads as moody and dramatic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#781 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#781 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How are the reeds in IA#781 painted?

As drips. Thin dark green paint is loaded along the waterline and allowed to run down the canvas, leaving fine vertical lines that work as reeds and their reflections at once. Close up they look abstract; a few steps back, they become a marsh.

Will the dark sky of IA#781 overpower a small room?

Rarely, because the lower half is bright lime and pale water, so the canvas is roughly half dark and half light. In a small study choose a size that leaves wall showing on every side, and keep the surrounding walls light so the navy reads as weather rather than as a dark block.

Is IA#781 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#781 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#781 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
