About this painting

An iron-lattice lighthouse stands at the end of a dark stone pier with the sun going down just to its right, and a small fishing boat sits squarely on the band of gold light that the sun lays across the sea. Pier, tower and boat are kept close to black, reading as clean silhouettes against the glow.

The whole surface is knife-laid. Violet and slate cloud is shot through with orange flecks, the sun is a yellow disc inside a burst of tangerine, and the sea is chopped into short grey-blue strokes, its reflection scattered in loose gold flakes. White surf breaks at the pier's foot.

IA#1058 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing lighthouse and fishing boat at sunset with the orange sun reflected on the sea, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The tall format and the upright line of the tower suit a slim wall, such as the strip of masonry between two windows, the closing wall of a hotel corridor that guests walk towards, or a column beside a bar's back shelf. The sun sits in the upper middle, so hang the canvas with its centre a little above eye level. Navy upholstery, weathered oak and rope or brass details pick up the harbour; against bare grey concrete the orange looks hotter still.

Specified for restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation, gallery & retail and living room; it reads as dramatic and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1058 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1058 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the lighthouse in IA#1058 a real, named landmark?

Nothing in the picture ties it to one place. It is a slim lattice tower with a lantern room and gallery, set on a squared stone breakwater, a type found on harbour walls in many countries. That keeps it suitable for a coastal scheme anywhere without pointing guests to a specific town.

Should IA#1058 be lit with a warm or a cool lamp?

Warm. The raised flakes catch light along their edges, most of all in the gold reflection and the orange fringes of cloud, so the water seems to sparkle when lit from above. A cold white lamp pulls the orange sun towards lemon yellow and flattens the violet sky.

Is IA#1058 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1058 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1058 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
