About this painting

A white-hot burst of light hangs just above a dark teal sea, and the sky around it breaks into slabs of tangerine, gold, violet and white cloud laid on with a palette knife. Violet cloud banks up on the left, while a gap of clear blue and a smear of salmon pink opens near the top right corner.

Below a horizon of broken surf, the glow returns as a wide column of yellow and cream reflection running down the water to the bottom edge. The knife work is heavy across the whole canvas, blocky and overlapping, so the ridges catch light as much as the colour does.

IA#106 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing blazing orange and purple sunset clouds reflected on a blue sea, knife strokes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Tall and saturated, it needs a wall to itself: a narrow pier between windows, the end wall of a long hotel passage, or the wall facing the lifts, which people walk straight towards. Charcoal, warm grey or ribbed timber panelling lets the orange glow; a busy wallpaper would fight it. A downlight grazing from above throws a shadow under every knife ridge and makes the reflected column shimmer.

Specified for lobby & reception, corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#106 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#106 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is the water in IA#106 brighter near the bottom than at the horizon?

Because the reflection widens as it comes towards the viewer. The horizon is a dark teal band flecked with white surf, while the lower half breaks into pale yellow, cream and blue strokes that mirror the sky, giving the canvas a strong vertical pull from cloud to foreground.

What does the knife texture on IA#106 look like up close?

Flat-topped slabs with raised edges, many laid in one pass so two or three colours streak together inside a single stroke. In the sky the strokes point every way; on the water they run mostly sideways, which is why the sea reads as calm beneath a restless sky.

Is IA#106 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#106 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#106 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
