About this painting

A small white rowing boat sits at a slant on pale water, bow raised to the upper left, with a red seat, a yellow gunwale and stripes of teal and navy along the hull. Its reflection is louder than the boat itself: broad knife strokes of emerald, rust and ochre that break apart as they fall.

At the bottom edge the paint runs off into grey drips, and across the top a band of loose dabs in pink, cream and teal stands in for a far harbour. A fine ochre line, the mooring rope, slants from the hull across the water.

IA#048 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing a small painted boat and its reflection in pale water, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With the boat in the upper half, drop the canvas an inch or two below your usual line so the hull meets the eye, and let the drips trail towards a headboard, bench or vanity. It belongs with whitewashed timber, linen, rattan and blue-and-white tile, the language of a seaside guest house. A red throw, a yellow lamp or teal tiles nearby will pick up the hull; in a bathroom, choose the wall facing the bath, clear of splashes.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, bathroom and bedroom; it reads as uplifting and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#048 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#048 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why does IA#048 end in drips along the bottom?

They let the reflection melt away instead of stopping at a hard line. The water is painted so loosely that it seems to run off the canvas, and the soft, unfinished edge keeps the heavy knife work in the middle from feeling boxed in.

How different does IA#048 look up close?

Very. From across a room it is plainly a boat on still water. Up close it turns abstract: separate ridges of red, teal and ochre, the sharp edges of knife strokes and patches of pale ground between them, with side light giving each ridge a thin shadow.

Is IA#048 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#048 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#048 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
