About this painting

Two slabs of crimson, one short and one long, stack down the middle of a pale grey-blue ground, and every other stroke seems to swing around them.

Every mark was laid with one drag of the palette knife. Cream and white sweeps curve like blades of grass, a dark green and black wedge leans in from the upper left, and ochre, orange and mustard blocks crowd the left edge, with small flicks of cobalt low in the centre. Paint is thick, ridged where the knife lifted, so colours sit stacked rather than blended. The right side stays lighter and looser, leaving air around the busy centre.

AA#819 is an original abstract painting showing bold knife strokes in red, white, green, yellow and black on grey, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Red carries in low light, so the canvas holds its own in a bar or restaurant where the room dims after eight, while the cream sweeps stop it feeling heavy. On a white gallery or shop wall it gives colour beside neutral display fixtures. In a corridor, hang it at the far end, seen head on, where the upright red strokes repeat the length of the passage. Honey oak floors and black metal both suit its mix of warm and dark tones.

Specified for gallery & retail, restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation and living room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#819 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#819 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which colour in AA#819 should lead the room's accents?

The crimson. It is the largest single colour and sits dead centre, so a red chair, a rust rug or terracotta tableware ties straight back to it. The mustard and emerald are smaller and work best as a second accent, kept to one or two pieces each.

How thick are the knife strokes on AA#819?

Thick enough to see from the doorway. Each stroke is laid in one sweep, leaving a raised lip of paint along its edge and fine ridges across it, most visible in the red and cream marks. Lit from the side, those lips throw small, crisp shadows.

Is AA#819 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#819 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#819 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
