About this painting

Two sailboats ride at anchor on a cobalt bay as a small white sun sets over a low violet-blue headland, spilling red, orange and gold light down the water between them. The sky above is banded too: yellow-green at the very top, then turquoise, then coral and orange streaks around the sun.

On the square canvas the reflection runs straight down the centre and the two boats bracket it, a dark hull at the left and a paler one with a slanted boom at the right. Thick horizontal strokes build the water, broken by short dashes of white and yellow where the light lands.

IA#091 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing two sailboats on a bay under a blue, orange and red sunset with distant mountains, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A square holds its own where a wide canvas would be cramped: a column face in a lobby, a booth partition in a seafood restaurant, the narrow wall between two doorways, a stair landing. White walls or sea-blue tile let the cobalt read at full strength, and rattan, linen and pale terracotta suit its coastal mood. Light it from above at a slight angle to catch the raised white dashes in the reflection.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#091 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#091 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the square shape do for IA#091?

It keeps the scene compact and almost symmetrical: the sun, the headland and both boats fit into one block, with the reflection running straight down between the two hulls. The eye moves up and down the canvas rather than across it, unlike a wide sunset.

Does IA#091 pair with the single-sail sunset IA#088?

They work as a loose pair: both have a white sun, sailboats and a column of reflected light. IA#091 is square and bluer, IA#088 horizontal with a black sea, so hang them on separate walls of one room rather than edge to edge, where the change of format looks accidental.

Is IA#091 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#091 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#091 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
