About this painting

A pale yellow sun hangs in an apricot sky while, below the horizon, a cobalt sea throws a wave against dark rocks in a burst of white spray. The canvas splits almost in half. Above, the paint is smooth and hazy, dragged strokes of peach and sage-grey with a single coral streak low on the left.

Below, everything moves: foam knifed on in thick white ridges, droplets flicked above the crest, teal and turquoise in the troughs. A dark boulder breaks the surf at left and olive weed sits at lower right, giving the eye something solid among the water.

IA#1168 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing crashing blue waves under a peach sunset sky with a yellow sun, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The quiet top and loud bottom make it work in a passage. In a hotel corridor, set its centre slightly above the usual line so the sun clears head height and the breaking wave meets someone walking towards it. Walls in sand, warm white or pale clay pick up the peach sky, brass sconces suit the yellow sun, and a navy throw or headboard echoes the sea in a bedroom.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, bathroom and bedroom; it reads as uplifting and peaceful.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1168 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1168 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does the peach sky of IA#1168 read warmer in the evening?

Yes. Under warm evening lamps the apricot and coral in the upper half deepen and the sun disc seems to glow, so the picture feels like dusk. In cool daylight the sky turns paler and the blue water takes over. In a guest room both moods suit.

What makes the spray on IA#1168 look airborne?

Small dots of white are flicked above the crest of the main wave and over the dark rocks, separate from the knife-laid foam below. Because they sit on smooth blue paint with nothing touching them, they read as droplets thrown into the air rather than surf on the water.

Is IA#1168 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1168 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1168 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
