About this painting

Orange poppies with dark centres open across the foreground in front of a violet-blue peak whose lower slopes glow ochre in full sun.

Every colour is turned up to full strength: cobalt sky, white clouds whipped into curls, purple lupine spikes packed between the poppies. Each petal is a few flat, ridged knife strokes of heavy paint. The mountain is built from long diagonal swipes of navy, violet and gold that follow its ridges, and a dark green shrub at the right edge breaks the line of flowers.

IA#990 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing orange poppies and purple lupines before a blue mountain under cloudy sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Orange against blue at full saturation is a loud pairing, so give the canvas a plain white or soft grey wall with clear space either side, and keep nearby textiles to one of its colours. It earns its place in a shop or gallery where it must hold attention from the doorway, and in a bright family dining room with pale timber and cobalt ceramics. Avoid hanging other busy artwork beside it.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, living room and dining room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#990 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#990 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why do the colours in IA#990 look so intense?

Because orange and blue are complementaries: set next to each other, both appear stronger than either would alone. The painting uses that pairing twice: orange poppies against purple-blue lupines in the foreground, and ochre slopes against the navy peak above, with a cobalt sky reinforcing the blue side.

Do poppies and lupines really bloom together as they do in IA#990?

They do in places. Orange poppies and purple lupines are a classic spring pairing on open hillsides in the American West. The painting compresses that into a dense foreground band, tucking the purple spikes between the larger orange cups so the two colours alternate along the bottom.

Is IA#990 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#990 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#990 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
