About this painting

The sun burns through a break in heavy cloud above a ruler-straight horizon, setting the sky alight in tangerine, red and smoky violet over a dark line of sea.

Three horizontal bands stack the scene: fiery sky, a blue-grey swell striped with white surf, and a wet foreshore where the reflection of the sun breaks into yellow and the sand turns rose, crimson and teal. Paint is thick across the whole surface and swept sideways, so cloud and water both seem to travel across the canvas, and the only still element is that dark horizon.

IA#1080 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing sun setting over the sea with orange clouds and light reflecting on blue water, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Hot colour above and cool colour below let one canvas bridge two schemes, useful in an open-plan restaurant where a warm bar area runs into a cooler dining room. On a long dining wall, hang it so the horizon sits roughly at the eye level of seated guests. Pale grey or white walls show the orange at full strength, while a charcoal wall turns the sky into a glowing window.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as dramatic and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1080 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1080 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What gives the beach in IA#1080 its pink and crimson colour?

The foreshore is painted as wet sand mirroring the sky. The orange and red of the clouds are pulled down into rose and crimson strokes, with flashes of teal where shallow water lies over the sand, and that reflected colour ties the bottom edge back to the sky at the top.

Could the sky of IA#1080 be painted in coral and blush instead of burnt orange?

Yes. The tangerine and red can be softened toward coral and blush while the blue-grey sea, white surf and dark horizon stay as they are. The foreshore would shift to match, since it reflects the sky, and you approve the new colours from the progress photos before the work continues.

Is IA#1080 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1080 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1080 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
