Sun setting over a wide estuary textured canvas wall art

The sun is about to touch the horizon of a wide estuary, and its reflection spills down the canvas as a broad yellow streak that splits the cool water in two. Above, violet clouds drift across a cobalt sky, dark headlands close in from both sides, and two small sailing boats ride at anchor just left of the light.

Below the waterline the scene breaks apart: blocks of cobalt, lavender, teal and turquoise are dragged downward with the knife, with a flash of orange-red at the centre. Only the top half is painted as a view; the rest is colour and light.

IA#406 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing sun setting over a wide estuary with reflected light, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Saturated cobalt and yellow need a neutral setting and space around them: white or warm grey walls, pale stone, cream upholstery, and no other art on the same wall. In a restaurant, put it where diners see it from the entrance, so the sunset registers at a glance; in a bar, warm downlights push its yellows toward gold behind banquette seating. A dining room used mostly in the evening suits it, since the low sun matches the hour.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as dramatic and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

Trade prices for IA#406 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size

Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.

Finish

Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.

Surface

Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.

Quantity

Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.
