About this painting

Shafts of yellow light fall from a row of small, flat-bottomed clouds onto a cobalt sea, while red roses crowd up out of dark leaves along the bottom of the canvas.

Overhead the blue deepens toward the top edge and a violet band lies just above the horizon, while each cloud trails its own curtain of streaked gold, the largest pouring straight down onto a bright patch of water. White and cream glints break up the sea beneath it. The roses carry the heaviest paint, their red heads built up thickly against the green, with flecks of ochre and pink in the grass between.

IA#1163 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing golden sun rays breaking through clouds over a blue sea with red roses in the foreground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Hang it so the band of roses sits near eye level; on a tall entrance-hall wall that puts the strongest red where people pass and lets the falling light climb above them. In a bar or bistro it holds up against dark timber, oxblood leather and low lamps, because cobalt and red keep their strength when the room is dimmed. Give it space on either side and keep neighbouring art quiet; its palette is already full.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and entryway & hallway; it reads as uplifting and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1163 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1163 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why do the light rays in IA#1163 fall from several clouds at once?

It is a painterly exaggeration of the shafts seen when sun breaks through gaps in cloud over the sea, often called crepuscular rays. Repeating them under each cloud turns a weather effect into a pattern, which is why the sky feels more like a dream than a record of one evening.

Do the roses in IA#1163 stand out from the surface?

Yes, a little. The rose heads and leaves are laid on in thicker paint than the sky, so a ceiling spot or a lamp from one side gives each petal small highlights and shadows. The sea and clouds are flatter, streaked brushwork, which keeps the texture gathered in the lower third.

Is IA#1163 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1163 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1163 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
