About this painting

A skyline of knife-cut towers rises along a dark waterfront, led by a tall amber block with a pointed crown just left of centre. Around it, slimmer buildings in cobalt, brick red, lemon yellow, green and smoky grey crowd together, each laid in a few flat strokes of the palette knife rather than drawn.

The sky warms from cream and peach at the left to clear blue at the right. Below the shoreline every colour is pulled straight down into the water as streaked reflections, crossed by thin white skims, and raised ridges of paint run along the tower edges.

IA#1085 is an original impressionist cityscape painting showing colourful knife-painted skyscraper skyline reflected in water in orange, blue and yellow, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Set it where a long horizontal run of wall can be read at walking pace: the corridor between workstations, a developer's sales suite, or the wall facing the table in a meeting room. The cream-to-blue sky sits easily with concrete, black steel and walnut, and the amber tower links to cognac leather chairs. A ceiling track set close to the wall will graze the knife ridges in the water so they throw small shadows.

Specified for lobby & reception, workspace & office, meeting & boardroom and living room; it reads as vibrant and uplifting.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1085 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1085 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the skyline in IA#1085 a real city?

It does not show an identifiable city. The towers are invented shapes, blocked in with the knife for colour and rhythm rather than accuracy, which keeps the canvas neutral in a hotel or office whose visitors come from many places. A specific skyline can be commissioned from your own reference.

How do the orange, cobalt and red towers of IA#1085 sit together?

They are held together by the dark band of shoreline running under every tower and by the sky shifting gradually from cream to blue. Those two calm zones give the bright blocks a shared base and a quiet backdrop, so the orange, red, yellow and cobalt read as one city rather than scattered patches.

Is IA#1085 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1085 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1085 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
