About this painting

A huge oval of copper light fills almost the whole canvas, fading to near black in the corners, with a thin band of glittering sea slung across its lower half. The horizon dips in a shallow curve instead of running straight, and a pinpoint sun rests on it, sending a narrow white streak of reflection down the water.

The glow is blended so smoothly that no brushmark shows, warming from deep rust at the rim to pale peach at the centre. Only the water is raised: small ridges flecked with gold and white catch light like ripples, so texture and the brightest highlights share one strip.

IA#646 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing glowing copper-orange sun halo over a textured sea at dusk, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Dim rooms suit it best. In a bar or evening restaurant the copper oval behaves almost like a light source, and its dark corners merge into a charcoal, smoked-oak or deep-brown wall so the canvas edge seems to disappear. Against white walls those corners look heavier. Aim a tight beam at the water strip rather than washing the whole canvas, so the ripples sparkle. Large sizes can lean against the wall behind a banquette or a lounge chair.

Specified for restaurant & bar, lobby & reception, living room and dining room; it reads as moody and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#646 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#646 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does IA#646 show dawn or dusk?

It can be read either way, but the deep rust and darkened corners suggest dusk, with the sun just touching the sea. There is no land or boat to fix the time, which is why the image works as an abstract glow as much as a seascape.

Why is the horizon in IA#646 curved?

The band of water sags slightly toward the middle, following the lower curve of the oval glow, so the sea seems cupped inside the light. It keeps the composition centred and soft-edged, and stops a hard straight line from cutting the canvas in two.

Is IA#646 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#646 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#646 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
