About this painting

A great rust-brown mass fills the right half of the canvas, split by one thin white arc rising from the bottom edge. To its left the colours stack like eroded rock: a crimson wedge at the top, a sweep of gold ochre across the middle, a charcoal slab low on the left and a teal block beside it, marked with a short gold line.

Pale mottled grey opens across the top, and the brown is pitted with scattered dark dots. Every boundary between colours is darkened, as if scorched, and the surface has a granular texture that shows most in the rust and the grey.

AA#728 is an original abstract painting showing earthy colour-field patches in rust, teal, grey, red and ochre, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The wide format fits over a long banquette, a dining-room sideboard or the length of a boardroom table, filling a wall horizontally in a way a tall canvas cannot. Align its midpoint with the sideboard or sofa, not with the white arc, since the heavy brown on the right is already balanced by the busier colour on the left. Warm, low evening light in a restaurant deepens the rust and crimson; cooler daytime office light shifts the balance toward the teal and grey.

Specified for restaurant & bar, meeting & boardroom, dining room and living room; it reads as cozy & warm and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#728 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#728 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the white curved line in AA#728?

A single white stroke drawn over the rust-brown mass, rising from the bottom edge in a shallow arc. It is the only bright line on the canvas, so it gives the dense earth tones a point of tension. Some see a crescent moon or a bent reed in it, but it is abstract.

How do the crimson and teal in AA#728 behave in a scheme?

They are small and far apart, which is why they do not clash: the crimson wedge sits at the top left, the teal block low and left of centre, with ochre and brown between them. Repeating just one in the room is enough; red suits a warmer dining room, teal a cooler office.

Is AA#728 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#728 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#728 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
