About this painting

Three upright zones split the canvas: dark chocolate brown on the left, a leaning stripe of mustard yellow, and a broad grey-white panel that widens as it falls to the bottom edge.

The grey panel carries the texture, scraped downward with a knife so streaks of darker underpaint show through in fine vertical lines. The brown side is calmer, divided into three stacked shades with the middle one almost black, and a narrow dark strip closes the right edge. A small rust fleck near the top left is the only other colour.

AA#285 is an original abstract geometric painting showing vertical colour blocks of dark brown, mustard yellow and grey-white with knife texture, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The upright blocks echo door frames, shelving and tall windows, so it suits a narrow wall between two windows or the short end wall of a boardroom table. Dark-stained timber, bronze fittings and board-formed concrete sit comfortably with its browns, while mustard or cognac seat fabric picks up the stripe. Daylight from one side shows the scraped grey panel at its best; under flat overhead light it looks like a smooth pale block.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, restaurant & bar, home office and living room; it reads as moody and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#285 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#285 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the thin black line near the bottom of AA#285?

A single dragged stroke of black that crosses the foot of the mustard stripe. It depicts nothing; it is a small deliberate disruption, the one diagonal in a painting of verticals, and it stops the three big blocks from looking like a flat colour chart.

How does the mustard stripe in AA#285 behave in a mostly neutral room?

It is the only saturated colour on the canvas, so in a room of greys, browns and whites it becomes the warm accent everything else defers to. Repeating it once, in a cushion, a book spine or a single chair, is enough; more than that and the stripe loses its punch.

Is AA#285 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#285 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#285 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
