About this painting

A tall gold-and-cream stripe, ridged like tree bark, runs top to bottom of a rust orange canvas just in from the left edge. It is the most built-up part of the surface, with traces of verdigris green caught in its grooves.

To its right the rust field is thinner and cloudier, with bright orange blooms in the lower half that recall weathered corten steel. At the top right a darker band hangs down about two thirds of the way, its deep brown striations ending in a ragged fringe. One light band and one dark keep the open rust between them from feeling empty.

AA#736 is an original abstract geometric painting showing textured gold-cream vertical stripe on a rust orange field, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Rust and bark-gold belong with materials that age: oiled oak, cognac leather banquettes, smoked glass, raw steel planters. On a pale concrete or limestone wall the orange reads at full strength; on dark timber panelling it sinks back. Closing the view down a corridor, the upright stripe lines up with the direction of travel and pulls people along the passage. Graze the left band with a narrow downlight so its ridges catch.

Specified for guest room & suite, restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation and dining room; it reads as cozy & warm and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#736 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#736 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the green inside the gold band of AA#736?

Faint verdigris green brushed into the grooves of the raised stripe. It is easy to miss from across a room, but close up it makes the band look aged, like old bronze or lichen on bark, and it gives a quiet link to sage or olive upholstery.

Is the dark band at the top right of AA#736 meant to look like a drip?

It reads as a run of paint or a streak of oxidation down a steel plate. Its ridges are vertical, thickest at the top and fraying where they stop, roughly level with the lower third, so it echoes the full-height stripe on the left without repeating it.

Is AA#736 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#736 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#736 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
