About this painting

Concentric rings spread outwards from a dark core at the lower left edge, curving up and across the canvas like the banding of a sliced agate or the growth rings of a tree. The bands move from bright copper orange near the centre through sand, gold and cream to a plum-brown arc, with a turquoise ring cutting through the inner bands and deep cobalt filling the top right corner.

Ridges of paint follow each ring, with lifted crests and small craters where the layer has broken, so the bands look carved as much as painted. At the core sits a small turquoise eye ringed with black.

AA#177 is an original abstract geometric painting showing textured concentric rings in orange, gold, brown and teal, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The arcs open from lower left towards upper right, so place it on a corridor's end wall or to the left of an entrance, where the curves point people onward. Copper and turquoise answer each other across a room: rust velvet, burnt orange curtains or tan leather on one side, teal glass or tile on the other. The ridges look best under a warm downlight set close to the wall.

Specified for corridor & circulation, restaurant & bar, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as bold and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#177 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#177 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is there real stone or resin in the agate effect of AA#177?

No, the agate effect is acrylic paint on canvas throughout. The banding, the sheen of the gold and copper and the crystal-like crests along each ring all come from layered, worked paint rather than stone, resin or anything inlaid.

Where should the dark core of AA#177 sit relative to the viewer?

Near eye height. Every ring circles that point at the lower left, so placing it near eye height lets the arcs climb up and away above the viewer. Hung too low, behind a console or sofa back, the core is hidden and the canvas reads as plain stripes.

Is AA#177 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#177 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#177 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
