Hundreds of small painted tiles bend into fans, fronds and feather shapes, each one outlined by hand in a fine dark line. Amber and rust gather along the left edge, sand and pale gold fans open up on the right, and a field of white and grey tiles runs between them like a current.

Near the lower left the tiles break apart into scattered black squares, the only hard dark accent in the picture. The paint itself is flat; the depth comes entirely from line direction, as the tiles curve and compress wherever the shapes fold.
