About this painting

Fallen leaves bury a forest floor in thick slabs of orange, yellow and rust, and a stream threads through them, icy pale blue at the right and almost black where it bends away to the left. Behind, thin dark trunks stand in a grey-lilac mist, a few yellow leaves still clinging to their branches.

The foreground is close to abstract: every leaf is one flat palette-knife stroke with a ridged edge, piled most heavily along the near bank. The mist is painted thinly and softly by comparison, so the forest fades while the ground seems to push out toward the room.

IA#086 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing orange and yellow autumn forest floor with bare trees and a small icy blue stream, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Dark green, navy or petrol-blue dining rooms bring out the cold note of the stream and calm the orange. Above a long banquette, guests are near enough to make out each knife ridge. Keep the wall around it plain, with no patterned paper, since the lower half is already busy. Angle a track spot down across the canvas so the leaf edges throw shadow; copper, smoked oak and ochre velvet repeat its warmth.

Specified for restaurant & bar, dining room and living room; it reads as moody and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#086 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#086 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the pale blue shape at the right of IA#086?

Water: the stream catching the light of the misty sky, painted as a column of icy blue streaked with white. Further left the same stream turns dark where it reflects the tree trunks, so one channel shows both a bright and a shadowed surface.

How was the leaf litter in IA#086 built up?

With a palette knife. Each leaf is a short flat stroke of orange, yellow or rust pressed onto the canvas and lifted, leaving a raised edge. The strokes overlap most in the foreground and thin out toward the trees, so the texture fades as the forest recedes into mist.

Is IA#086 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#086 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#086 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
