About this painting

Dark olive water spreads across the bottom two thirds of the picture, streaked with long silver and cream knife strokes that catch the light like a river running fast.

Above it, a white churn of water crosses the middle, and a bank of bare grey trunks and rust leaves climbs into a pale sky. The knife ridges run horizontally across the river, piled thickest where the current breaks, while the trees are scraped in finer, more broken marks. Mustard flecks near the bottom read as fallen leaves seen under the surface.

IA#291 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing autumn orange trees along a green river with knife-stroke reflections, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its weight sits low, so hang it with the bottom edge close to the furniture: above a long bench in a guest-suite corridor, or over a bedroom dresser where the dark water meets the eye of someone lying in bed. Mossy greens, oatmeal wool, walnut and aged brass bring out the river, and a tobacco or rust cushion nearby echoes the leaves. A wall-washer from above rakes across the horizontal ridges and makes the water shimmer.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, bedroom and living room; it reads as moody and peaceful.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#291 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#291 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the white band across the middle of IA#291?

It reads as broken water, a shallow rapid or small weir where the river runs over stones. It is laid on in thick white and pale grey knife strokes, the heaviest paint on the canvas, and it separates the warm bank above from the darker, quieter water below.

Does the rust orange in IA#291 make it an autumn-only painting?

Not really. The orange is confined to the upper band and softened by grey trunks and pale sky, while most of the surface is deep green and silver. For most of the year it reads as a river landscape; in autumn, copper or ochre accessories pull the warm band forward.

Is IA#291 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#291 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#291 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
