About this painting

A shaft of sunlight breaks into a dark green forest, landing as a bright glow at the top of a tall, narrow canvas and sliding down through pale, thin tree trunks.

Beneath the light the woodland darkens almost to black, and the lower third is little more than shadow. A blurred band of vivid green runs down the left edge like leaves close to the viewer, and low in that corner a small spray of blue blossoms is the only cool colour. The paint is laid thinly and flecked with tiny pale specks, so the dark reads as damp, misty air rather than flat black.

IA#017 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing dark green forest with a shaft of light and small blue blossoms, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its 1:2 proportion fits the slim walls most art cannot: between two doors on a hotel corridor, beside a lift, next to a staircase or on the pier between restaurant windows. On dark green or charcoal walls it turns atmospheric and low-key; on pale plaster it reads like a narrow window onto woodland. Walnut, dark leather and moss-green velvet all suit its palette.

Specified for corridor & circulation, restaurant & bar, entryway & hallway and home office; it reads as moody and peaceful.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#017 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#017 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Will IA#017 look too dark in a dimly lit space?

The lower third will read as near-black in low light, which is intended, but the bright shaft at the top holds its own. A single downlight or picture light above the canvas is enough to bring up the greens and the blue blossoms, and it agrees with the light already painted in.

What are the blue flowers in the lower corner?

A small cluster of loosely painted blue petals rather than an identifiable species, though they can suggest bluebells or forget-me-nots. Their job is colour and balance: the only cool blue on the canvas, placed low on the left to answer the light at top centre.

Is IA#017 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#017 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#017 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
