About this painting

Three dark, twisting cherry trunks rise through a gold ground, their branches heavy with clusters of white and pale lilac blossom, while a stand of willow trails fine ink-drawn strands down the upper left. Flat gold cloud bands drift across the middle, cut by brown cloud-shaped shadows, in the manner of old Japanese folding screens.

The blossom is dabbed and stippled rather than outlined, so each cluster looks soft against the hard black bark. The gold is mottled and uneven, warming to copper brown along the bottom edge, which gives an aged look although the surface itself is flat.

WA#120 is an original wabi-sabi floral painting showing Japanese screen-style blossoming trees and willow on a weathered gold-leaf ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The long horizontal shape fits above a banquette, a sideboard or a reception desk, running nearly the width of the furniture below. In a Japanese or fusion restaurant it sits naturally with dark lacquer, paper lanterns and timber screens. Warm light suits the gold best; under cold LED it can look greenish khaki, so choose 2700K to 3000K lamps for that wall.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, dining room and living room; it reads as romantic and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#120 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#120 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What tradition does WA#120 draw on?

It follows the decorative screens of sixteenth and seventeenth century Japan, which often set flowering cherry beside willow on gold grounds as an image of spring. It is painted as a single canvas, not a folding screen, so it hangs flat on the wall like any other work.

Which colours in a room bring out the lilac in the blossom of WA#120?

Grey-violet, dove grey and soft plum pick up the lilac tint in the petals, which otherwise reads as plain white beside the gold. Black lacquer or ebonised wood repeats the trunks. Avoid strong yellow upholstery nearby, as it competes with the gold ground and dulls the blossom.

Is WA#120 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#120 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#120 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
