About this painting

Peach-pink banksia cones stand upright in a dark night garden, surrounded by spiky mauve flower heads, white line-drawn ferns and patches of tiny painted dots. The ground is a deep green shading toward aubergine in the corners, and almost everything on it is drawn in fine white or coloured marks instead of solid shapes.

A ribbon of lilac dots winds across the upper half, a burst of white dashes opens just below the centre, and a clump of sharp white blades rises at the lower right. Rust and olive stipples fill the gaps. The surface is flat and matt; the richness comes from the density of the pattern.

AA#513 is an original abstract floral painting showing dense dark-green botanical pattern with pink banksia flowers, ferns and dotted white leaves, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The dark ground makes it one of the easier botanicals to hang on a deeply coloured wall, where a pale canvas would look like a hole: forest green, plum or charcoal all let the white line work float. On a light wall it reads instead as a dark window into a garden, strongest above a long cream sofa or bench. Low, warm evening light flatters the pinks; cold daylight flattens them.

Specified for restaurant & bar, dining room, living room and guest room & suite; it reads as moody and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#513 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#513 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why do the banksia cones in AA#513 look dotted?

Each cone is built from rows of small peach and pink dabs, much as a real banksia packs hundreds of tiny florets around its spike. Painted that way the cones look soft and granular against the dark ground, even though the surface itself is smooth.

What fabrics and finishes pair with AA#513 in a dining room?

Plain, solid ones. The painting already carries a lot of pattern, so velvet or leather in rust, dusty pink or deep olive, smooth plaster and simple brass work better than patterned wallpaper or busy textiles. Any second piece nearby should be a quiet single-colour abstract.

Is AA#513 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#513 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#513 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
