About this painting

Nine koi swim upward in a loose column through pale green water, most of them red and white, with one pale gold fish, one white with a yellow head and one patterned in black and white. They enter at the lower left and wind toward the top edge, so the canvas reads as a single current moving up.

Lower right, broad lotus pads in sage and olive curl around one open pink lotus, two seed heads and a closed bud. The water is smoothly blended, mintier at the top and darker near the pads, crossed by thin ripples; each fish has a rounded highlight along its back.

HA#047 is an original hyperrealist animal painting showing nine red and white koi swimming in green water beside lotus leaves and a pink lotus, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A column of fish rising through the canvas gives a feeling of arrival and lift, which suits the wall facing a restaurant entrance, the space behind a hotel reception desk or the wall opposite a spa's front door. The upright shape stands well above a console or between two doorways, and in a bathroom it belongs on a dry wall facing the bath. Its greens look freshest under neutral-white light.

Specified for spa & wellness, lobby & reception, restaurant & bar and bathroom; it reads as peaceful and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#047 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#047 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why are there nine koi in HA#047?

Nine is often read as a lucky number, linked with longevity because in Mandarin it sounds like the word for lasting, and koi are associated with abundance and perseverance. Nine koi together is a familiar motif for businesses and homes hoping for steady prosperity; the single black-and-white fish adds contrast to the group.

Do the red koi in HA#047 clash with green walls?

Rarely, because the painting already sets red against green. On sage, olive or celadon walls the water blends into the wall and the red fish come forward; on deep forest green the pale water becomes a bright window. Strong orange or yellow walls are the ones that fight the red.

Is HA#047 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#047 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#047 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
