About this painting

Crimson, rust and maroon build the head of a chestnut horse seen in three-quarter profile, its white blaze the one cool stripe in a canvas full of heat. The colour is laid in broad, flat patches rather than blended, so the planes of cheek, jaw and neck read almost like carved facets.

Deep maroon shadow swallows the far side of the neck, and a black halter with silver rings and a long cheek plate cuts across the face. Behind, loose strokes of dark green, teal and a little blue keep moving, and that green, opposite red on the colour wheel, makes the coat look hotter still.

HA#028 is an original hyperrealist animal painting showing red-chestnut horse head with bridle against a green ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its reds and greens are strong enough for a reception wall or the back bar of a restaurant, and they suit a saddlery, menswear or leather-goods shop where the coat echoes the stock. Oxblood leather, dark green velvet and aged brass all sit naturally with it. On a dark wall it glows; on a white one, a dark frame gives the green edge a border. Its upright shape also suits the slim wall between two windows or beside a lift door.

Specified for gallery & retail, lobby & reception, restaurant & bar and living room; it reads as dramatic and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#028 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#028 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do you see in HA#028 at arm's length?

A patchwork of separate strokes: rust beside scarlet beside maroon, with brush edges left visible in the green ground. Seen from across a lobby, those patches merge into a solid, glowing coat and a lifelike head, so it repays a wall that is seen from a distance as well as passed.

Could the coat in HA#028 be painted in a quieter brown?

Yes. The crimson and rust can be brought back to a natural chestnut or bay brown, and the dark green and teal ground can stay as it is or be muted toward olive. Send a reference for the shade you want; the loose, patchy brush handling stays the same.

Is HA#028 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#028 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#028 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
