About this painting

A single pink lotus opens high in a cobalt sky, its yellow centre facing out and its petals shading from almost white at the base to deep rose at the tips. Below it a long bare stem passes a green seed pod, two closed buds and a broad upturned leaf beaded with water droplets.

Most of the canvas is sky, unusual for a lotus picture: the pond fills only the lowest quarter, where small orange koi flick through ruffled blue water at the bottom right. The paint is smooth and even, with soft white clouds and faint rays of light at the top.

HA#053 is an original hyperrealist floral painting showing pink lotus flower with seed pod and buds against a blue sky, koi fish in water below, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Pale blue, pink and leaf green suit a bathroom or spa where tiles, white stone and chrome already set a cool tone, and the sky blue matches many glass mosaic finishes. The flower sits in the top third, so in a corridor hang the canvas with its centre slightly below eye level; the lotus then lands at the height of a standing guest's face.

Specified for spa & wellness, corridor & circulation, bathroom and guest room & suite; it reads as peaceful and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#053 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#053 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the lotus in HA#053 stand for?

In Buddhist and Hindu tradition the lotus stands for purity, usually explained by the way it rises clean from muddy water. With the seed pod and buds on the same plant, this stem also shows flower, fruit and new growth together. Koi are a common companion in lotus-pond pictures.

How do the koi in HA#053 read from across a room?

As small orange flecks. They are painted shorter than the lotus buds, so from a distance the pond reads as blue water with a few warm sparks, and the fish only resolve as you come closer. That suits a corridor or treatment room where people pass near the canvas.

Is HA#053 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#053 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#053 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
